Perfected concave, perfectly placed hips and a killer graphic. sweet range of wheelbase options, with some fun faux kicks on the smaller ones. This board is rad, and you should get it.

This is a great board for dancing crosstepping, longboard tricks and also has enough spring to get you down the bike track on the pump alone. I sometimes feel it could do with some reverse camber on it just to give it that extra spring and boost but the flex is good even if your a big 15 stone man like myself. It's nice and light and great to throw around which is essential. It has started chipping around the side. I think maybe they could fully wrap the rails to help with this issue.

When I first got it I was a little worried that the concave might be too much and be uncomfortable on super long runs, but no, the pockets for your feet lock you in solid, the 9 plies makes this board rock hard stiff without the need for gimmicks like fibreglass or other environmentally nasty ingredients. I have had this up to about 50 mph and it handles like a dream. The lads at Lush are going to struggle to better this, and I have personally threatened them with violence if they try to change it. No nonsense construction and outstanding performance at a very reasonable price. For fast freeriding and awesome slide control there isn't a better deck on the market in my opinion, and I have been riding longboards for over 12 years now. I actually bought another skateboard, drawn in by the marketing (what a mong) , I've since sold it on ebay cause it wasn't a patch on this badboy. Far and away the best deck for freeride and downhill I've ever ridden.

Finally everyone can get these!!! By far the longest lasting gloves I have ever skated, and I am a finger dragger and general glove destroyer of epic proportions. They are pricey but when you work out how many sets of cheaper gloves you are going through every year, you will see that it's worth the investment. Pair them up with a set of aftermarket pucks and be happy... an awesome product.

Just picked up my 2nd Spacebyrd (day). I love this board. Being 6ft 1" tall I found most boards just a little too short for me, for years I was on the lookout for a longer pool/park board, then I found the Spacebyrd Day. For me it's perfect. Cookie

The Freebyrd is a really nice cruiser, perfect for both a causal skate along the coast and for a quick dart through town. Its really nice and flexy making it very responsive with some good pump. Although I am not a beginner, it would definitely be great for one, especially for the price!

I actually purchased a Machine 3D to make an electric longboard! It's still a work in progress, but I've ridden the board itself for a number of weeks now and it feels completely amazing! After speaking with Andy @ Lush, I learnt that two-years worth of work went into the deck mold and you can feel it. Your feet are super comfortable carving or simply cruising. The board smelt amazing on arrival (nice varnish) and the machine pipes and wiring artwork on the bottom of the deck looks awesome too. Simply put, you need a Machine 3D in your life!

Hi, I'm a french guy who's using it every single day since 1 year in Paris, for both dancing/freestyle and cruising. I'm just in love with it, and I'm proud to say that thanks to it I reached an honorable level. Kicks are perfect, flex is perfect, pop is perfect... It's a demanding board, but when you tamed it, it's pure fun. As a dancing rider, I'll just have two things to wish on your next version : longer, less concave. If you do that, it will be the perfect dancing board (IMO). It's probably not in your plans, but please let me dream.

I have the smaller version of this board and I have grown into the sport with it. I have tried out a few other style of board but this is my favourite one to use by far and for me is the most comfortable to ride. It's very stable for going down hill with the decks stiffness giving you comfidence as you bomb down a slope. The trucks that come with the deck when you buy it as a complete are responsive and allow you to carve with little effort. The wheels once you wear them in roll like there is no tomorrow. The kicktails give you good footing to flip the board 180. and I always feel at home when I'm stood on this board. To sum it up I love this board and would recommend it to anyone wanting versitility in a cool package. Don't hesitate go get yourself one you won't regret it.

My experience with the Machine 3D X-Tuff. I've had the pleasure of using this board for a week and want to share with you why you should definitely pick one of these masterpieces up. Let me first just say that the team behind this board were spot on with how they dealt with me, helpful on the phone whenever I needed it and kept me informed of the process to develop this board. And you can tell when it shows up that it is a labour of love, everything from the beautiful artwork on the reverse, the small details on the trucks and plainly and simply, just how good this board looks. Everyone you see, even those who don't skate at all will tell you just how sick your deck looks - hey, I'm totally down for the ego trip! I highly recommend the experience! ;) The set up really is a machine, it rides better than anything I've hopped on before. the shape of the deck gives you a control that you instantly feel stepping on. This board is strong, it makes you feel commanding on any surface you take it to and the addition of x-tuff was an absolute triumph. It will cruise with ease and the bearings let you roll into an intimate love affair with your ankles and the ground below but this girl also unleashes her fury when you get up to speed, you become totally immersed into the experience as you become one with the board through every electrifying turn and dive through corners. Honestly, if you haven't made up your mind for your next set up, this board should be right at the top of the list to consider.

I put this board together today as a faster freeride board. Rojas trucks and the green cult chronicle wheels. I'm blown away with how much I love this deck, the wheel flares are high enough to lock your feet in comfortably but not so high that they are uncomfortable for a long day riding. It's stiff, nimble, stable and controlled. I'm in love.

Bourght the board as a replacement deck. Put my own 76mm 78a wheels one with bones red bearings and swapped out the bushing for sabre's. It rides beautifully and changing the bushings has really made a difference to turning capability. The quality of the deck is exellent and shape is simple but great. I was really please with the postage time and the free bits in there. I think I will deffinetly be coming back to Lush if I need any parts or boards in the future!

What's there to argue about? I recently required a board that fit my style and (large sized) feet. When I stood on this deck I was not only amazed at our it seem to conform to my stance but the sheer thought and design that went into it. The 3D rised edge create boundaries and pressure points to use that potential energy that you normally waste drifting th board away by transfering it into the tightest, most responsive control yet. I went out for a skate on this and it's brought a whole new dynamic to my riding, my style, my confidence and love for the sport. An absolute must buy.

Lush Samba X-Flex Review

I was super stoked to see lush coming out with a dedicated carving setup! I got the Elite Complete cause I wanted the most wheel grip possible and shipping took about a week, which was much faster than I expected. Beautiful thick dark finish on the wood and the trucks and wheels look super sick. On my first ride it took some getting used to, the trucks just keep turning into no man's land and never hit a barrier that you'd feel with other loosened trucks.you have to get it up to speed a bit to throw it around because of the wideish wheel base, but I love the bounce you get out of each turn and I'm even able to pump up a slight hill no problem. I love how much weight I can throw into it and the turning radius is unreal. I'ts even pretty stable at speed because of the drop deck; I've never gotten speed wobbles even though I've kept the trucks super loose. Once I started getting comfortable and digging in, I started to get a feel for the deck's limits. the wheel grip is not as sticky as i'd like, I ride a lifted fishboard with carving trucks that has more stick on old big zigs than the stock setup did on day 1, but when the wheels do start to slide it's extremely controllable and feels totally safe and smooth, not like you're destroying your wheels. I'm not sure if it slides because the deck is flexing and taking pressure off the wheels or if the wheels just aren't as sticky as I'm used to, but I plan on switching out the wheels eventually and finding out. Another problem that I ran into is that when I really started to throw the board around the deck scraped the ground at the peak of my turn a few times, and now there are a few unfortunate gashes in the beautiful finish on the rails. I had a feeling that clearance was going to be an issue with center mounted trucks and a dropped flexy deck, but for the most part it was totally fine for 98% of the thrashing I was able to give it over a few days. I like the Idea of having the grip tape go all the way to the last possible edge of the deck and it feels great on your feet, but it does make the board extremely uncomfortable and awkward to carry up a hill, and I've sliced up my fingers pretty good carrying it around since i got it, I found myself having to carry it around like a pizza box so I could protect my fingers. I think I might cut a strip of tape out of the middle so I can actually hold the thing. I think I'm gonna ride the stock wheels for a while more, but I'm excited to put on some stickier wheels with more clearance (big zigs...) and see if I can get it to hug the ground a bit more. hopefully the slide I'm getting isn't created by the shock absorption of the x-flex deck, but it wouldn't be a horrible trade off for the amount of bounce you get out of the turns. I have a feeling that with a taller, stickier set of wheels, this board will be a 4.5/5 for me. Add a little more clearance (or fatter wood for less bounce) and take away a bit of length to and it would be an automatic 5/5 for what I'm looking for. If I had to do it again, I'd get the lower tier setup and use the stock wheels for sliding and get my own sticky wheels. I definitely have an ideal sticky turny board feel in my head that nothing may ever meet, but this board came pretty dang close. Overall it's a super fun board and I would totally recommend the board if you're looking for a smooth turny ride with a little bit of slide.

I bought my board a year ago and he's (I named him Sanchez) been a faithful companion so far. Light, stable down a hill and really fun to push around town. Don't let the camber scare you off (I originally wanted to learn on a rocker), once you get used to it you'll appreciate the extra flex! One thing I will say is those 63mm Acid Drop wheels are a bit on the small side for the quality of pavement where I live, but I picked up some dirt cheap 76mm offset wheels in Barcelona for pennies, and now Sanchez is a monster truck!

I've just taking up longboarding, so this is my 1st board. But that said I'm gaining confidence quickly seems a stable board at most speeds. To add on to what Gábor said... I'm the one on the team using it for downhill... yah, it's awesome I love this board because I can do anything I want with it. I ride it with very soft and responsive Sabre trucks (I ride barrel bushings with flat washers) I don't even know how to describe it. I get a much more surfy feeling on this board than other boards I've tried, which is fun when cruising or riding fast. It's also got pretty huge kicks for shovits, using it as a pogo stick (I've done that a lot, still holds up), and lots of room for dancing. I don't think there's nothing I don't like with this board. Only modification I've made is put on rough grip tape where my feet are in big standies/freeriding. Other than that, you're pretty much good to go and do anything you want with it. It rocks, boom! I'll be happy to answer any further questions from anyone aswell, so yah!

Got the Spacebyrd Day back in August when I could barely Ollie. As I was used to the longer length of longboards such as the Loaded Tesseract, this was a really nice street skateboard for me. It was short enough for it to be functional when doing your normal skateboard tricks, but was wide enough and long enough to remain comfortable after coming from a longboard. After around 7 months of hard street skating, this board had finally showed signs of abuse; the tail has super broken and chipped. The board is also a super sick shape, just all I can say is that the nose is way different to skate than the tail. However that's the only criticism I can come up with for it. It's also very capable for a bit of mild or technical freeride. :) I'd definitely recommend the board for anyone looking for a good filmer board, or a long street skateboard, or just want a good hybrid which can handle the hills, streets and park. It's also very suitable for anyone else like myself who were used to longboards, but want to get into normal skateboarding. :)) -Jack

Everybody likes riding something with curves and this board is fit! I've had it for a year now and it still feels as solid as the day I first stepped on it. The stiffness has helped me get into downhill while the 3D aspects of it have helped create nice pockets and reference points for my feet which has helped massively in my free ride game. I've recently been looking for a new board for the collection, but it's hard to find something that is going to better this.

Omen est nomen, the name says it all. The limits are only in the mind, this board has everything and even more. If you want, you can do backflips on it, because the flex is so awesome. I just heard that one guy in our team uses it for downhill, so what I said in the second sentence is confirmed. I use it for freestyle and street, and for me its the most amazing longboard I've ever tried in this style, because it feels so unique to ride, besides, if you want to improve your skills and strength in street skating, then this board is the gravity chamber what Son Goku used in Dragon Ball. All you have to do is to grow up for this board. Good luck with it!

When I buy a dancing longboard I'm looking for some specifics: -1st the Flex: I need to have a board with flex in order to pump, to feel the flex in a curve... and to dance. For me the flex, it s like a drug (like the noise of spring)... :P. May be it will be interesting to have this board with diferent flex...my weight is 93kg ;) -2nd The size and the width: I'm 1m92 tall and the size of my foot is 46/47cm so it's for me important to have enough space to walk on it easily and not on the other foot or wheel or the ladybird taking the sun... :P (this board gives stability close to trucks in order to freeride, downhill or get stuck :P...) -3rd The use of the board: The board I buy has to be "multipurpose boards" Freeride, pumping, dancing, cruising, slide....and also to be able to look at it thinking What a beaufitull, charming, sexy .... :D -4th The design of the board: if it's thine, with some round, fishy, long, sharp, flashy... I know what you're thinking I not talking about a girafe :D -5th To have a tail, a nose tail or not: in order to tricks a lit bit with my foot or feets, to pump up the volume of the "Tac"... :P

This is an awesome little board great for slides. Fast sharp tuns and bowl riding it digs in deep and holds you tight in position. Good nice concave that feels great under the feet. Has lots of agility to it moves well and is great for a bit of freestyle on the nose because of it's square nose which gives you that much more stability. Making things easy and more fun. Awesome board if I have anything negative to add it would be that I am not too keen on the graphic ...but then you don't skate the graphic right. I think that's the only thing holding back the board. Awesome board and awesome ride.

These are all round strong and durable gloves. My only quibble lies in the finger pucks, yes they add protection for new skaters but they can breed the bad habit of finger dragging. I would recommend these for new skaters due to the excellent price, the wonderful construction and longevity of the pucks, just remove the finger pucks to avoid learning bad habits. Happy skating.

I really like drop through's, gone are the days of wheel bite and it’s great to be close to the ground for stability. The Symbian 3D has the best of both worlds, being a drop through it is nice and stable (with no risk of wheel bite) but it also has the particularly useful features of the kicktails which make it great when it comes to a tight corner, especially when commuting where the kicktails can quickly save you from an unaware pedestrian/cyclist/driver! It’s also nice for sliding due to its stiffness and good shape: the nice subtle curve and ledge are ideal for pushing feet up against for good grip in slides.

One quick demo on this board & I was hooked! This thing turns like crazy and the pop you get out of the turns is unreal. As I became a little more confident I found it very easy to get the back end to break traction and speed check out of turns. I bought the Pro complete with the Emperor wheels. Although I am already finding the limit of their grip, I believe this was the right choice for me. I might consider upgrading to some Cult Raptures in the future, but I like the controlled slide I'm getting. The low centre of gravity combined with the lean angle and flex of the deck puts a massive strain on the wheels! This is obviously no downhill board. However, I'm probably taking it up to about 20mph with no speed wobbles despite having the trucks super loose. Again the low centre of gravity also playing a part here. It also helps a lot when pushing. I did the Bath to Bristol push yesterday and then rode home. Over 25km in total according to my gps and have no thigh ache today. I also find the board very easy to pump and whilst practicing this I actually overtook people who were pushing yesterday! The pay off for having such a super low, flexi deck is that it will inevitably make contact with the ground occasionally, however mine is holding up well after a months abuse you would have to look hard to notice any damage. I took the Samba to visit an old snowboard mate who's never skated last week. He found it super easy to ride and is now hooked and looking at buying one too. This is something I would usually discourage as we will be riding together if he takes the plunge. However, I found it impossible to recommend a better board to him.

Great deck with super awesome 3D concave, absolutely love it, you feel so locked in doing slide, takes a few sessions to get used to it but once you do you'll love it for freeride skating. Its feel really solid not going to bend and/or wobble at all at speed or jumping on and off it. Both front and back kicktails are great giving you more board and more options for your tricks. The wheel flares are a great design no wheel-bite at all may sound odd but makes it visually sexy to look at and they can be used so much it keeping you feet locked in for slides and such-like, but the only problem with such flare is they get easily damaged if you do street/tricks and the board ends up flipping over (grip side down) which happens from time to time, although if you're not worried about getting big-ish dent marks on the wheel flare then carry on, but personally for street I'd avoid unless I new I was definitely going to land the trick. Tucking onit is bit odd to at first feels really weird because of the 3D concave but this is something you easily move your feet around and get used to very quickly. Overall absolutely gnarly board for freeride. Super sexy, simple but effective shape, awesome design just not as great for street as I'd have liked only due to the damage it will take.

Setup: Lush Symbian 2 Cult Classic Wheels Bones Bearings Bear 952 Trucks I've used it almost daily since I bought it about 3 years ago now. It is still in phenomenal condition considering the amount of abuse it has endured. (Minor scratches on the paint, minor scrapes on the top and bottom of the board, including on the kicktails. The kicktails are great for manuals and shove-its and the dropthrough trucks keep it a nice low profile which I find great to slide with. I mainly use it to get around the city and campus. Fun for cruising and bombing hills with a little bit of freestyle and sliding thrown in the mix. Since I've purchased this, I haven't even considered buying a new board anytime soon. These boards are well constructed and are definitely worth the money!
